Dara Burriss works
Dara cultivated her lifelong passion for art while earning a B.A. in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin. Working with myriad media including acrylic, oils, and three-dimensional art, she initially painted portraits and abstract landscapes and built a following with her mixed media abstract pieces, which have an organic feeling of motion. Primarily inspired by color theory, Dara also draws inspiration from music and gives each of her pieces a name connected to a song she hears while painting.
